Welcome to our school website

Dear Parents and Carers,

Following the advice from the Government on Friday 28th May, the Governing Body and Local Authority have agreed the school's COVID19 risk assessment plan. Safety measures have been implemented to enable Kinderley to re-open on Tuesday June 2nd for children in Year 1 and Year 6 from 9.15-2.15 and on Thursday June 4th for children in Reception from 9.00-2.00. In addition, school will continue to be open to Key worker children on Tuesday June 2nd from 9.15-2.15.

Teachers will continue to prepare Home Learning activities weekly on the website under: Curriculum/Class Page/Summer 2020 linked to the Cornerstones projects. Teachers can be contacted through Tapestry in Class 1 and through Class Dojo in Classes 2-4, this may be at the end of the school day as teachers are now teaching daily. Pastoral support for families and 'check in' phone calls will continue weekly from staff that are not able to be at school in their usual capacity:

Class 1: Mrs Jarvis

Class 2: Mrs Peggs

Class 3: Mrs Welbourn

Class 4: Mrs Mayers

The school office will be open daily from 8.30-3.30 with Mrs Strange, Mrs Gourley and Mrs Peggs on a rota basis. Please don't hesitate to get in contact if you have any queries or need any help. We can arrange visits to the school office by appointment only. Please adhere to social distancing measures when you visit the school.

We thank you for all your support during these challenging times and assure you that we will continue to offer the same level of support to the parents/carers that have chosen to keep their children at home for this half term. We value the close links with home and school and wish for these to continue. We have decided to set identical work for home and school based  learning, so that when we can all be together again, we have been learning about the same things.

If you have any Safeguarding concerns regarding one of our pupils, please contact Mrs White via the school office

Stay safe and we hope to see you all very soon,

Susie White

Kinderley is a small rural primary school with big aspirations and ideas. We foster a family feel atmosphere where children are nurtured by our caring staff team. There are 86 children on roll between the ages of 2-11 years, in four mixed aged classes. At Kinderley, we learn, explore, play and flourish together.

Set in a peaceful location, surrounded by open farmland, Kinderley is the northernmost school in Cambridgeshire, close to the borders with Lincolnshire and Norfolk.

Kinderley is a spacious, modern school, opened in September 1987, following the amalgamation of Colville School in Newton and Tydd St Giles Primary School. In addition to four classrooms, we have an inviting school library, main hall, large playing field, well resourced playground and music room.

We warmly welcome visits to the school to see us during the school day in action. Please contact the school office to make an appointment. We look forward to meeting with you and your child.
